Juvenile Drop Outs
Comparison of juvenile drop-out rates and experiences in this field within Europe.
Drop Outs – status
A lot of studies and resulting programs on the labour market are dealing with young people looking for orientation on the job market that have already completed their education or already had their first experience in a job. Only few studies or programs are dealing with drop outs from schools and trainings. Exactly in this field there is a need for action. The young person runs the risk of loosing the used structure and the chances to find a job are not the best. Disorientation and frustration at the job search do not help to motivate the young job finder. For different reasons parents often can not offer support to the juvenile in this situation, where their support would be essential. This could have consequences not only on their career path, but also on their life planning.
Comparison of juvenile drop-out rates and experiences in this field within Europe; comparison of already existing programs, ideas for adequate programs, possible continuation with Grundtvig 1: deployment of new appropriate programs for juvenile drop outs.
